It looks like Blackwing will take flight early next year.
A new actor has been cast for the second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter.
Ken Marino joins the show as mob boss Joesph Manfredi, aka, Blackwing.
Marino has appeared in a number of both comedic and dramatic projects, including Wet Hot American Summer, Veronica Mars, and We’re the Millers. He has also written a handful of films including Wanderlust and Role Models.
In the comics, Marino’s character, Joseph Manfredi, is a mob boss with connections to HYDRA. He adopts the alias of Blackwing, because of this ability to command and control bats. Yep, this guy is a weird Marvel Anti-Batman.
Anyway, Blackwing is usually a Daredevil villain. Does Manfredi’s inclusion point to a Daredevil and Agent Carter crossover? We hope so.
The second season of Agent Carter will continue to follow Peggy as she navigates a post-WWII and post-Captain America world.
The gorgeous Hayley Atwell will return as the titular Carter, as well as James D’Arcy as Jarvis and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark.
While Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. has had its ups and downs, we felt the first 8 episode season of Agent Carter was very solid and surprising great.
We can’t wait to see Peggy back in action, and Marino join the series.
Agent Carter returns to ABC in early 2016.
