THIS IS GOTHAM!
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]quare Enix recently released photos of an upcoming Play Arts Kai figure that will see our one and only Dark Knight donning Spartan armour.
The DC variant known as the ‘Timeless Batman Spartan’ figure comes equipped with a shield sporting the famous bat-logo, a spear, a long sword, and four daggers, complete with a figure stand to proudly display your bat-like Spartan warrior.
The amount of detail put into the armour is undeniably impressive, and makes for a really eye-catching piece for anyone’s collection.
The subtle bat-like characteristics – like the classic sharp bat ears pointing up from the top of the helmet, and the bat logo engraved on the chest-plate and cape-holder – really just brings the figure together, and successfully melds Batman’s features with the Spartan armour.
You’ve got to admit you could easily see Batman kicking messengers down wells wearing this garb.
The figure is expected to be released in March 2016, and will be priced at around the $150 mark when it’s available to pre-order.
