[dropcap size=small]E[/dropcap]very year, Treyarch comes out with their premiere Call of Duty game in November. This year proves to be no different with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 coming out on November 6th. However, this year Treyarch has released a lot of information about the game a lot earlier than usual. Most of the gameplay in campaign mode and multiplayer mode has been showed off in recently released trailers.
One of the features that many COD fans look forward to is the zombies feature in the Call of Duty games. In this year’s game, Advanced Warfare, zombies was not initially released. The zombies feature was revealed in a DLC package in January 2015 nearly two months after the game’s release. However, a recent Easter Egg was released about Black Ops 3 that suggests an early sneak peak on the game’s zombie features.
Treyarch released a photo of what looks to be a diary of some sort with a picture of zombies, a few pens on the paper, and a date and location written in the book. The date and location reads: San Diego July 9th. This just so happens to be the date and location of this year’s Comic Con. Could this mean a possible reveal at the upcoming conference? Another Easter Egg found in the photo are some of the scribble marks that are surrounding this diary. If you look closely, there is a date written that reads: October 2nd, 1962. Upon doing some research, this date happens to be the day the US conducted atmospheric tests at Johnston Island. If there was any sort of nuclear or biochemical testing at this site, it’s almost certain that this would suggest some sort of zombie gameplay.
Not a whole lot has been released on how the game will be played. Weapons and maps haven’t really been released, but it is known that your character will get some upgrades in terms of being able to jump higher with a booster as well as a pretty cool slide feature. It is unknown however if you will be able to use these features in zombies mode or if players will only have normal movements.
Comic Con will be on July 9th and it seems like we will at least get a sneak preview at this conference. As for the game, it is said to hit the shelves November 6th, 2015.
