Actress Gina Carano, who is playing the mutant Angel Dust, revealed on Twitter that Andre Tricotuex (Seventh Son) is playing the metal-skinned mutant known as Colossus in the upcoming Deadpool movie.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t seems that Daniel Cudmore, who played the role of Colossus in the films X2- X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, will not be reprising the role for the X-Men spin-off superhero film Deadpool. Instead, Andre Tricotuex is will be playing the nearly indestructible and colossal-sized mutant.
Andre Tricotuex was spotted back in April and May wearing a motion capture suit while filming scenes for Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds, who is playing the role of Deadpool and Brianna Hildebrandwas, who is playing the role of Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
While Daniel Cudmore did the play the role of Colossus splendidly, Andre Tricotuex will fit in quite well playing the metal coated giant. Seeing as Andre Tricotuex is six feet and ten and a half inches tall, he basically is Colossus when it comes to size and the man might as well become the next Andre the Giant.
Whether or not Andre Tricotuex will actually be in the film or if he is just being used because of his size remains to be seen. It could be that director Tim Miler is in search of another actor to voice Colussus, but no one knows for sure. Our best guess is that we will know more about Deadpool in addition to whom is voicing Colossus during the San Diego Comic Con in July.
Deadpool slices into theaters February 12th of next year, 2016.
