The dirty details about the game’s release, featuring the Blue Bomber’s successor, has been announced.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he upcoming Mighty No. 9 seems to be picking up steam rather quickly. After being picked up by publisher Deep Silver, the game was recently announced to release this September. With great mightiness, comes great responsibility. Feast your eyes on the latest epic Mighty No. 9 trailer:
The game is confirmed to support Cross-Buy across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on digital copies and on the PS4 physical copy. The PlayStation 4 retail copy will be getting a little extra love with the Ray DLC, unlocking a new level AND a new baddie. But wait, there’s more! (This is like an infomercial) Purchasing the PS4 retail copy will also net you a double-sided poster and The Art of Mighty No. 9, a sweet little concept art booklet.
For you early adopters, should you choose to pre-order Mighty No. 9, you’ll be receiving the Retro Hero DLC. What is supposed to be an 8-bit-inspired skin for our hero, Beck, looks like something that escaped from the Minecraft community. The DLC pack will also include classic sound effects and an Insta-Death Mode. Sounds challenging.
Lastly, the Mighty No. 9: Signature Edition will be exclusive to North America. The collector’s edition will be extremely limited, and will include this excellent 6.5″ Beck figurine and a metallic foil signature from, yours truly, Mr. Inafune for $59.99.
