[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]alo’s official Twitter account says that the release date posted on Xbox.com for the remastered version of Halo 3: ODST was a “placeholder.” The date was posted on Xbox.com (has been taken down) and was listed to be released on May 29 , but was not officially confirmed by Microsoft or 343 Industries.

The Re-release will be available for free for those of you who have played The Master Chief Collection between its launch date, November 11, and December 19. It’s a way of saying “Thank you” to those who stuck with Halo: The Master Chief Collection during its troubling launch says Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries.
“This has been a humbling experience and highlighted how we as a studio can – and need – to do better for Xbox fans around the world. We are so grateful to our fans who have stood by our side and we appreciate all of your patience as we worked through these issues.” Says Bonnie Ross
343 has also said that the updated version of Halo 3: ODST’s campaign and a new version of the map Relic (Halo 2 multiplayer map) will be added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection any day now.
