[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]nternet Explorer has long been the laughing stock of web browsers. It is often touted as “the number one browser for downloading other browsers.” Despite the shockingly low status, Microsoft has not made any significant changes under the hood of IE over the many iterations of Windows OS, until now. Microsoft announced that with its upcoming release of Windows 10 it will bring a brand new browser to windows users.
The new web browser is codenamed Spartan and windows promises it to deliver an enhanced experience in visuals and performance for users. Only time will tell if Microsoft can deliver on these promises of a ‘new light-weight web browser’. Spartan will use the Chakra Javascript Engine which is a departure from the technology currently used to run Internet Explorer. I personally hope Spartan is a big success, but that may just by my affinity for seeing underdogs succeed. But, until then…
