[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]arner Bros. has released a new clip from the upcoming animated film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis featuring Cyborg and Colonel Steve Trevor discussing the threat of retaliation from Atlantis after the events of Justice League: War. Have a look below.
In War, Darkseid attacked Earth and in turn, damaged the world’s oceans, including the underwater city of Atlantis. In order to keep the surface world safe, the Justice League must strike an accord and ally with Aquaman, the King of the Seven Seas.
The DC Animated Universe was first rebooted with Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, with War and Throne of Atlantis continuing the saga. The upcoming entry in the series will be primarily based on the comic run written by Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment Creative Chief, with a few slight changes, the biggest being the need to establish Aquaman as a hero in DC’s animated films.
Throne of Atlantis will give fans a little taste of what is to come before Aquaman’s appearances in the DC Cinematic Universe. Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa will be first seen as the Atlantean hero in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice before two Justice League movies and his own standalone film.
