[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]hree weeks later, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is still, for lack of a better word, broken. Rest assured however, as 343 has said, that a fix is in the works and will be available later this week.
Sound familiar? It should, because 343 issued the same statement nearly two weeks ago and though things did get a little better, the game is still experiencing a multitude of issues. Things have gotten so bad, in fact, that theHalo franchise director Frank O’Conner has reportedly received dozens of death threats.
But wait, it gets worse. As part of the Xbox Live Rewards offers for the month of December, Microsoft is offering anyone who purchases Halo: The Master Chief Collection 15,000 points – a $15 value. Sounds good right? Not entirely as the deal doesn’t extend to early adopters, leaving the most loyal fans out in the dust.
It’s hard to imagine how 343 got away with releasing something so broken, especially when you consider the fact that most of the content isn’t even new, and ran just fine on their original consoles. At this point, we can only hope that 343 delivers on their promise to, “make it right with fans.”
