With the latest entry in the Divergent series underperforming at the box office David Theo thinks it’s time to let the franchise die.
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]omethings are better off left dead. The Divergent franchise is one of them and lead actor Theo James seems to agree. So much so that the actor believes that the original cast won’t return if another film was made to conclude the series. After a poor performance at the box office it would seem that Theo James is right, why attach your name to a project that shows signs of failing?
In an interview with TooFab, Theo James stated, “My message would be ‘Thanks for the support.’ I think it’s a shame that we can’t finish the story but I think it’s evolving in a place where the actors that have been in the three movies probably won’t be in whatever it evolves to in the future.” With a failure at the box office and one of the lead actors believing it’s time to let the series be as is maybe the producers will catch a hint and give up on the project.
