The first official trailer for Scream (2022) is here and ho-lee crap does it seem like we are in for one hell of a ride. Take a look for yourself at the bone-chilling trailer below and then keep on reading so we can continue to express our excitement for the upcoming slasher flick.
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream.
Scream (2022) is an upcoming addition to a franchise we have thought couldn’t possibly do with another sequel. However, if this trailer is any indication, this movie is going to be a heck of a lot of fun in theaters when it arrives on 1.14.22. We don’t have much evidence outside of what you have seen for yourself in the above trailer but we are of the impression that this will be a fresh new take while returning to its roots in a big way.
Honestly, it has been a while since we got excited about a sequel, especially when it is the fifth entry in a film series but just like how Dewey said, this one feels different and we can’t wait to return to Woodsboro.
The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.
