Apparently the world isn’t ready for Zoolander 2 just yet.
[toggler title=”TL;DR” ]A Zoolander 2 trailer was uploaded to YouTube briefly, but then was quickly taken down approximately ten minutes later. The video featured a Stephen Hawkings-like voice and ended with Zoolander’s thought, “If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?”[/toggler]
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]lthough the trailer wasn’t on the YouTube for too long, about ten minutes or so, a Zoolander 2 trailer was uploaded to the video website and was available for all to see. Whether the release of the trailer was unauthorized, a mistake, or the result of a hacking is not known at this time.
While the video is no longer on YouTube, you can view the video here at The Verge. The video is rather odd, beginning with a voice that sounds eerily similar to Stephen Hawkings as you travel through the cosmos before arriving in Derek Zoolander’s head/imagination. It is here that you see hair dryers, orange mocha Frappucinos, completely incorrect math equations like 3+4=34 and words like “eugoogly”.
The trailer ends with Derek Zoolander asking, “If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?”
In addition to Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson returning for Zoolander 2, Will Ferrell and Christine Taylor will also return to reprise their roles from the original film. Kristen Wiig, Billy Zane, Fred Armisen, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will appear in the film as cameos.
Zoolander 2 hits theaters February 12th, 2016.
