HIDIVE, based in Houston, TX, announced today that Season 2 of the global sensation series [OSHI NO KO], which captivated audiences worldwide in 2023, will simulcast exclusively on their anime streaming platform in the U.S. and Canada, as well as in international markets including the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Adapted from the acclaimed seinen manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, [OSHI NO KO] made history on HIDIVE with its Season 1 premiere, quickly becoming their top-performing series.
The inaugural season of [OSHI NO KO] garnered widespread critical acclaim and earned prestigious awards, including Anime of the Year at the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival. Season 2 is set to debut this July as part of HIDIVE’s Summer 2024 simulcast lineup.

The story follows Dr. Gorou Amemiya, who delivers the child of pregnant starlet Ai Hoshino to help her avoid scandal and return to the spotlight safely. Tragically, Gorou is killed by Ai’s deranged stalker but is reincarnated as Ai’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino. As Aquamarine navigates the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry, he uncovers its dark secrets and strives to help his mother achieve stardom.
[OSHI NO KO] debuted in April 2020 in Weekly Young Jump magazine published by Shueisha, spanning 13 volumes with over 15 million copies sold. The English edition is available from Yen Press.
