Ghostbusters: Answer the Call was met with mundane responses from critics and fans alike, with many having negative views towards this sort of one-off film in the series. Well, if you were among those that wanted a sequel to Ghostbusters II (1989) with the original cast, you are in luck!

Not a lot of details can be found on the official Ghostbusters website, but we at least know that that Ghostbusters III will be officially called ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’. We also do know that the movie takes place in the original Ghostbusters universe (with I and II), unlike Answer the Call.
Premise:
A single mother and her two children leave their previous lifestyle to move to Oklahoma after inheriting property from a previously-unknown relative. There, they discover their family’s legacy to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long-since forgotten the events of the “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984”. –Wikipedia
The cast also includes original cast members Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz, Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman, Ernie Hudson as Dr. Winston Zeddemore, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz, and others. Joining them will be Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), McKenna Grace, and Carrie Coon.
The trailer is set to hit this Monday and we can’t wait to jump back into the original world of the classic Ghostbusters.
