Yup, it’s happening. Rambo is coming out of retirement.
Despite having publicly expressed his very own reservations for making a fifth Rambo film, it appears Sylvester Stallone has relented. According to Deadline, a tentative shoot date has been set for September of this year and it is believed that Sylvester Stallone will be working on a script for the film alongside his Expendables partner in crime Lerner who will also produce.
The premise for the film is as follows: When the daughter of one of Rambo’s friends is kidnapped by a Mexican Cartel, Rambo, who has been enjoying retirement on a farm, leaves the U.S. and enters Mexico to take back the girl and fight against one the country’s deadliest cartels.
Stallone, who is currently working on a sequel to the well accepted Creed film, has been rumored to direct the next Rambo film as well but that doesn’t seem likely.
