Could we even handle more than one Bond one the screen at once?
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to The Tracking Board’s Jeff Sneider, the Broccoli’s are tempted with the idea of expanding the Bond franchise into its very own universe. With so many franchises based on one big universe with several main characters (think Marvel and DC films), it isn’t that surprising that the Broccolis, the family of producer behind the majority of the recent Bond films, are toying with the idea.
The Bond franchise is no doubt one of the most famous and the idea of expanding it into a universe doesn’t sound all that bad of an idea. Imagine seeing Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig, and maybe even Idris Elba (since he surely would make a great Bond) all on the same screen at the same time. Could there possibly be more class and cold-hearted killing in a single film? Probably not. But before we even start to get excited it is important to remember that the Bond franchise has always attempted to have a strong plotline and so producing a script that is on par with Skyfall would be an immense and complicated feat to pull off. You’d also need a really great director like Christopher Nolan perhaps. Whether this happens or not remains to be seen but you can be sure we have our fingers crossed.
