The caped crusader will take to the skies once again.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he last time we saw Henry Cavill’s Superman going toe to toe against Ben Affleck’s Batman before both men came to terms with one another. In the end, Superman took down Doomsday at the cost of his own life and that was the last we would see of Superman until he appears in the Justice League movie when it hits theaters in 2017. This, of course, upset many fans because they were hoping to see Superman appear in a sequel to Man of Steel. Luckily, it appears Warner Bros. is appealing to the masses and according to The Wrap the Warner Bros. has set a sequel to Man of Steel in active development.
Where and when the next Superman solo film takes place is currently unknown. At the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice we saw Superman give his life and the superhero will more than likely not return until Justice League is released so it is safe to assume that the story behind this untitled sequel to Man of Steel will take place after the events of Justice League. Superman has plenty of villains and supervillains that he can be pitted against and so Warner Bros. has a lot of material to work with. Let’s just hope that they put a better director in the chair and not Zack Snyder, giving us a proper DC film that appeals to comic book fans and general audiences alike.
