DC. Marvel. Mother Russia?

Posters for the upcoming Russian superhero film Guardians have arrived online.

Guardians follows a group of superheroes created through DNA augmentations during the Cold War (in an alternate history). These Soviet warriors (shown below) reflect the different nationalities and traditions of the people of the USSR.

First up is  Arsus, the Wildman.

He is a “werebear” capable of transforming into a powerful brown bear, and has immense strength. Oh yeah, he also uses a minigun in battle.

Next is Ler, the Landman.

He is able to manipulate the earth, and create craters, rockslides, or earthquakes. Think earth bender.

Also on the team is Xenia, the Waterwoman.
She can manipulate the seas and freely transform into water herself. Also, she’s really hot.

The final member of the team is Khan, or “Windman.

He’s a martial artist who’s super skilled with blades, as well as having super strength and speed.

Below is the film’s antagonist, August Kuratov.

Using the mechanism strapped to his body, he can freely control machinery. Kuratov wants to rule the world, and we won’t be surprised if he’s working with filthy Americans to stop our Soviet heroes.

Guardians hits theaters (in Russia) on February 23, 2017.
