Captain America finds a new fan in Scott Lang.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]n a Captain America: Civil War clip that prefaced an interview with four of our Marvel heroes on Jimmy Kimmel Live, we see Ant-man meet Captain America for the first time as a ‘new recruit,’ and the moment is pure comedy gold.
It’s clear that Scott Lang is quite the fan of the Captain; he veritably gushes over the hero during the clandestine meeting. Oh, Lang. You adorable thing, you.
The rest of the show is worth the watch. Kimmel puts Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Chris Evans, and Sebastian Stan’s knowledge of one another to the test, in a bid to see just how well they got to know each other during the six months of filming on set.
Evans is a self-proclaimed Disney fanboy, and we love it.
The key factor of the short clip was though of course the fact that Ant-Man is all about Team Cap, meaning we know which side Lang will be batting for in the movie.
Marvel Entertainment also released an extended version of clip, where we see Falcon and Lang talk about their past encounter, as well as Cap warning Lang he’ll be going outside the law as he goes up against some mysterious ‘psycho assassins.’ Oooh.
This little taster of Ant-Man’s involvement is pretty exciting stuff. We can’t wait to find out what else is in store, and with Lang in the gang, we just know there’ll be more laughs heading our way.
