When Black first spoke about how this movie was going to be put together, he stressed that the movie is not a reboot in an interview with Collider. “Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?”
Black is best known for directing Iron Man 3 back in 2013. He also played a role in the first Predator movie when he starred as Hawkins in 1987.
Outside of the fact that this will not be a reboot, we are all sitting in the dark on how the movie will look, including the release date, cast and plot. But, according to ScreenRant, there is a possibility that the movie’s point of view could be from the Predator himself.
This will be the fourth film of the Predator series (after Predator 2 from 1990 and Predators from 2010) and will not follow the plot after the Alien vs. Predator crossover movie.
