They ain’t afraid of no ghost.
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]ony recently unveiled the first official cast photo of the upcoming reboot of Ghostbusters, fronted by an all-female cast.
We’ve seen some sneak peaks of Kirsten Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in their Ghostbuster jumpsuits on set, but this is the first official promotional photo to be released by the studio.
You’ve got to admit they do make a good ensemble.
The four of them certainly look like they could take on any spooky occurrences in New York City with their signature proton packs, trademark jumpsuits and no-nonsense demeanor – the ghosts look set to get a good busting.
The female cast will be taking the places of the original foursome, which saw Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson deal with spectral nuisances causing trouble for members of the public.
The majority of the original cast including Murry, Aykroyd and Hudson are set to make cameo appearances alongside Sigourney Weaver in the reboot, which will be directed by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig.
Ghostbusters will be in theatres 15 July, 2016.
