The cast of Shane Carruth’s latest movie keeps growing.
The boy who lived, John Wick, and Catwoman have all joined the upcoming film, The Modern Ocean.
This will be the third movie from director Shane Carruth, which already has a gigantic and prolific cast.
Radcliffe, Reeves, and Hathaway will star in the film along with Jeff Goldblum, Chloe Grace Moretz, Tom Holland (the new Spider-Man), Asa Butterfield (almost the new Spider-Man), and Abraham Attah (Beasts of No Nation).
Unlike Carruth’s previous projects, which were acclaimed indie films, The Modern Ocean is set to be a big budget “nautical action adventure” flick that follows geographically separated characters involved in international shipping.
The financial backers of the film, FilmNation, are optimistic that the film will captivate audiences.
“This epic tale, fraught with danger and intrigue, takes us from the ancient trading houses of Algeria to the darkest depths of the ocean floor,” FilmNation explained, and they also believe that the film “will draw audiences in to a secretive world filled with mysterious technologies and bitter rivalries.”
The movie is still in pre-production, but filming will probably commence next year, meaning a 2017 release date is likely.
With an awesome cast and unique premise, keep The Modern Ocean on your radar.
