Columbia Pictures confirms the remake, with director Scott Rosenberg leading the way!
[dropcap size=small]R[/dropcap]ecently, we have had many classic movies get reboots. Recent examples include Goosebumps, Fant4stic Four, and Pan and they have been a mix of good and bad. The next remake, Jumanji, is on it’s way!
The project, led by Columbia Pictures, selected Scott Resenberg to direct the film and it is considered a high priority by Columbia Pictures to get it done. Rosenberg has a career with big and small screen movies. Rosenberg is also very flexible with his works that can include combinations of action and comedy, as well as directing movies based on novels. Jumanji will require all three of these from Rosenberg in order to make a successful remake of this classic. The project will be produced by Matt Tolmach and Bill Teitler.
The original Jumanji was released in 1995, with the main cast starring Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst and the late Robin Williams. It would’ve been cool to see a cameo with him in this movie.
The Jumanji reboot is expected to be released on Christmas 2016. Follow us here for more news involving Jumanji!
