Ruby Rose leaves Litchfield prison to take on the zombie apocalypse.
[dropcap size=small]R[/dropcap]uby Rose revealed via Instagram that she is currently in Africa, filming for a role she landed in the concluding chapter of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Rose’s role hasn’t yet been revealed in the upcoming film – which will see Milla Jovovich return as Alice – but it does confirm that the film is now officially going ahead.
The final chapter was originally due to be filmed back in 2013 for a September 2014 release, but was put on hold due to Jovovich becoming pregnant with her second child.
The film is due to follow on directly from the events of its predecessor, Resident Evil: Retribution. It is said that we will see Alice return to Raccoon city to face the Umbrella Corporation, which is gathering its forces to strike out against the last remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
How will Rose factor in? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is slated for release 27 January, 2017.
