Jason Bourne is back.
After being absent from the big screen for eight years, Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne will finally return in the upcoming fifth Bourne film.
Although the film has yet to receive an official title, filming began yesterday, and the film’s producer Frank Marshall tweeted out are first look at Damon once more in his iconic role.

I don’t know about you, but Damon looks cut. The 44-year-old actor appears to have prepared to step back into Bourne’s shoes through many visits to the gym. Looking good, Matt.
The Bourne action thriller film series begun all the way back in 2002 with The Bourne Identity, and seemingly concluded with The Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner as a new character, as the film had a poor showing at the box office.
However, after years of speculation and rumors, a fifth Bourne film was green lit last September, with Damon and Paul Greengrass (director of The Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum) confirmed to return.
The Bourne films are smart, gritty, and enthralling action films, so hopefully the latest entry in will continue this legacy (sorry).
Bourne 5 comes to theaters on July 29, 2016.
