Better learn how to survive like Tom Hanks in Castaway, because the latest expansion for Don’t Starve is leaving you lost at sea.

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t’s been over two years since Don’t Starve was released and since then fans of the survival game, myself included, have been begging for an expansion. Luckily for us, Super Time Force studio Capy Games has delivered! The expansion is called Shipwrecked and you can see the announcement trailer below.

The original developer of Don’t Starve, Klei Entertainmentannounced the expansion on July 31st. According to Klei Entertainment, the expansion will take place partially on land and partially on water. Unlike the original game, Shipwrecked will allow players for the very first time to leave the game’s land and journey out to sea. In the original game the ocean was a map boundary that prevented players from leaving.

In addition to players being able to explore the ocean, the expansion will include new “characters, biomes, creatures, and seasonal effects.” No further details have been given at this time as to whether or not the expansion will be available for console-versions of Don’t Starve.

Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked will be released for PC some time this fall, no official date has been given.
