Hey, audio snobs– if you love the game Journey, here’s some good news for you: The game’s soundtrack is being released as a cool, totally unironic, double vinyl LP!
Ok, ok– to be honest, the release looks pretty sweet. The folks at iam8bit, who also released a vinyl edition of the soundtrack for Hotline Miami 2, will release the original score from Journey on Vinyl in August, with pre-orders beginning tomorrow, April 23rd.
The disc sleeves feature the beautiful artwork from Mark Englert, and each vinyl disc comes emblazoned with artwork on each side. The album artwork will also be available in print form.
You can pre-order both the vinyl soundtrack and the art prints beginning tomorrow at 10AM. The double LP will set you back $35, with the art print costing $60. The print is a limited edition of 350.
I was on the site at 10:00am. Within 15 seconds, the Print was sold out. Disappointed. BUT! I was able to get the Vinyl, which I am very stoked for.
