007’s ‘Spectre’ Smashes Box Office Records

Daniel Craig’s fourth mission as Bond has already made $80 million abroad.

The latest Bond flick is a bona-fide hit in the UK.

The 24th 007 film, Spectre, has grossed over $80 million since its release last weekend in the UK and related territories.

This means that Spectre has broken all-time box office records in almost all of the regions it has been released in.

With numbers like that, and the upcoming US release this weekend, the film is on track to match, or even topple, the box office earnings of Skyfall, which brought in over $1 billion worldwide.

A hit movie is just what the American box office needs, as the past couple of weeks have been full of flops and underwhelming flicks.

For example, last weekend The Martian, a film that has been out for nearly a month, was #1 at the box office, beating out numerous new releases like Burnt, Our Brand is Crisis, and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.

Will Spectre be a smash hit in the US like it is in the UK? Probably, and we’re pumped to go see it.

Spectre comes to theaters in the US on November 6.
