After finishing up the X&Y series in Japan, the first footage of Sun and Moon has been released! Check it out here!

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]fter years of having the same artwork dating back to the debut of Pokemon, the Japan series of Pokemon Sun and Moon looks like they are changing the artwork for the next show!

After seeing this trailer, Ash seems to look a little younger than previous seasons. He’s also attending class with Professor Kukui as the teacher and Lillie (Professor Kukui’s assistant in the two games), Mallow, Sophocles and Lana as his classmates. His classmates will also be Trial Captains.

Something that has fans concerned is the fact that Ash doesn’t act like a disciplined trainer and acts more rash than usual (Rash Ash has a nice catch to it.)

However, Pokemon XY: The Series showed a more experienced Ash as he traveled the region of Kalos and beat the first six gyms on his first try. He made it to the Pokemon Finals, where he lost a close match to his rival Alain.

The new trailer excluded Ash’s companions (Serena, Clemont and Bonnie) from the Kalos region in the trailer. From what the trailer shows above, Pikachu is the only companion that will join Ash to Aloha.

Ash is shown using his Z-Ring against Team Skull grunts. For those who don’t know what Z-rings are, they allow the trainer to feel their Pokemon’s special attacks. We also get a quick look at potentially Ash’s new Pokemon as he wakes a Litten from it’s sleep.

The new Pokemon anime will be released to Japan in November, then make it’s way to the US in early 2017!
