Jeremy Renner talks Captain America: Civil War and the future of the MCU after Infinity War.

[toggler title=”TL;DR” ]According to Jeremy Renner, Hawkeye’s role in Captain America: Civil War is very physically for him and while he can’t say much about it, it seems like his role in the film may be even bigger than his role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. When it comes to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Infinity War the actor believes Marvel should bring in new actors for whatever may come next, while keeping veteran actors at the same time.[/toggler]

[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]e went from waiting tables to being one of Hollywood’s best actors, Jeremy Renner has come a long way in these past few years. The actor has experience in being a part of not one but three different franchises right now and hopefully he will continue to be a part of these franchises for a while. That being said, Screen Rant sat Jeremy Renner down to talk about his role in Captain America: Civil War and what his plans and Marvel’s are after Infinity War.

It has already been mentioned that Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will be spending less time arguing about superhero rights with Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, and more time being in the middle of all the action going on. It is even rumored that his role in Captain America: Civil War is bigger than his role in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“It’s more active. A lot of fun stuff happening in that one. I can’t speak too much for it. They’re still filming that sucker right now. But yeah, there’s a lot of stuff happening in that one physically for me anyway. Then who knows in the future? I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Right now it seems like Marvel’s Infinity War will be end of everything in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and by end we don’t everyone dying. Marvel has already gone on record to make sure that everyone understands that the movies will always be on the lighter side and will include both action and comedy. Of course Marvel could keep going after Infinity War, replacing Chris Evans as Captain America with Anthony Mackie (Falcon) or even Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier/Bucky). According to Renner, it’s all up in the air right now.

“It’s always great to know that you are going have a job next year or something. That’s a fantastic blessing for any actor. It’s nice to be able to continue things and characters that you’ve kind of grown with. But it’s always great to have new faces come in. They’re not big on replacing people and characters so much, which I think is smart, because there’s so many different characters. I think there’s going to be a lot of new faces coming up in that world. I’m happy just to be a part of that big universe.”

Jeremy Renner brings up some good points, it would be good for Marvel to bring in new actors and actresses to reprise new and old roles if Marvel decides to continue making movies after Infinity War. There are entirely possible plots in several comics where new and old superheroes take over other superhero roles, whether to avenge a fallen comrade or because the world needs another Captain America. At the same time, it’s a good idea for Marvel to keep veteran big name actors like Renner, RDJ, and Samuel L. Jackson to attract more fans. Either way, we’ll just have to wait for Marvel’s Infinity War before we know what their next move is.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6th, 2016.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
