Update: Android 17’s character trailer has been released!
Android 17 has recently been revealed as the final DLC character for season 1 of Dragon Ball FighterZ. So far, all we’ve seen of 17 is the original V-Jump magazine scan when he was first announced.
Bandai Namco has shared two in-game screenshots of Android 17, as well his official artwork. You can check this out on his character page on the Japanese Dragon Ball FighterZ Website.
Android 17 is described as a “speed-specific” type fighter who keeps on moving to overwhelm his opponent. In addition to that, we get a glimpse at Android 17’s Dragon Ball FighterZ stats. These include letter grades for Power, Speed, Reach, Technique, Energy, and Ease of Use.
“When the opponent moves in to attack, he’ll give them a taste of their own medicine with his Super Electric Strike!”

It is still unclear when we can expect Android 17 to be released as a DLC character in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but many speculate he will launch alongside Cooler — Frieza’s brother — on September 28th. So far, every DLC character release for Dragon Ball FighterZ has come in pairs: Bardock and Broly, Fused Zamasu and Vegito Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, and Base Goku and Base Vegeta.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 28th.
