‘Game of Thrones’ gets premiere date and a teaser trailer

The great war is here!

[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]BO certainly pulled out all the bells and whistles for the unveiling of when the seventh season will premiere. The company placed a screen inside a large block of ice and slowly melted the ice away with a flamethrower that was intended to give off the impression of a dragon breathing fire. The event was streamed on Facebook with thousands of viewers watching and after some time a premiere date was revealed. The seventh season of Game of Thrones begins July 16, you can watch the teaser trailer below.

The whole symbolism behind the teaser trailer is fairly obvious. With all of the major houses fighting amongst one another, it leaves them all open for a devastating attack by the White Walkers. The ending of the trailer shows a symbol that was similar to a symbol that the White Walkers left behind in the very first season of Game of Thrones. Coincidence? Definitely not. Winter is coming and no one, not even John Snow or Daenerys Targaryen with her precious dragons are ready.
