Destiny 2’s first DLC expansion introduces legendary Guardian Osiris, classic D1 Exotics, and much, much more.

YouTube personality ‘My Name is Byf‘ shared some additional gameplay footage to go along with the first look at the new DLC dropping in December for Destiny 2.

The trailer, just below, showcases the Destiny Universe’s most powerful Warlock and mentor to Ikora of the Vanguard, Osiris. A name many will recognize from Destiny 1’s competitive mode, Trials of Osiris, the Warlock of legend returns with his female Ghost companion to stop a new threat that challenges our existence as we know it.

Largely focusing on the Vex once again, enemies old and new and old (intentional) will stand in your way, blocking the path to the next Golden Age. With the Cabal threat curbed for now, the Vex are on the rise and reality is shifting with many obscure timelines paving the way for players’ new quests. Past, present, and future timelines will all be available to traverse to help Osiris and save the Last City (again).

The DLC promises to deliver a wide array of loot, with many classic Exotic gear coming such as Jade Rabbit, Telesto, and Graviton Forfeit to name a few. Additionally, players will see a whole new variety of Vex-themed gear, weapons, Strikes, missions, emotes, and a new “Raid activity”. It should be noted that there has not been any clarity on what exactly “Raid activity” means, but we wouldn’t suggest assuming a whole new raid. Gamers are taking to social media wondering if whether or not this is a redesigned Vault of Glass from the first Destiny, or a new challenge to the existing Cabal Raid available in D2.

Destiny just wouldn’t be complete without a ‘Selfie’ emote.
